We follow up on the agreed order, pass on supplier and carrier updates, and share available documents and tracking information. Our role is procurement coordination; transport is provided separately.

Who does what?
You, the buyer
Set requirements, approve purchases and normally pay the supplier directly. The contracting parties, import responsibilities, transport risk and insurance arrangements are clarified before ordering.
Suppliers & transport providers
Suppliers provide the goods; carriers handle transport. Their obligations follow the applicable purchase and transport contracts. Insurance cover follows the policy terms.

Product & logistics
Goods, samples, tooling, freight and any agreed third-party services.
Import charges
Applicable duty, VAT and handling charges. Treatment depends on the shipment and buyer.
Before an order, we separate confirmed quotes from estimates and unresolved costs. A budget is not a guaranteed final landed price.
Scope and responsibilities
What if the research says “do not proceed”?
You pay for the agreed research and report, not a promise that a suitable supplier exists. A recommendation not to proceed can complete that stage when supported by the research. We remain responsible for completing the agreed work correctly.
What if I change the product or need more work?
We agree on any extra work, price and timeline in writing before it starts. Fixing our own mistakes or omissions within the agreed work is included.
Who is responsible for shipping problems?
East Karavan provides procurement support, not transport or cargo insurance. We do not assume a carrier’s responsibility for delays, loss or transit damage. Claims follow the applicable purchase, transport and insurance terms. We can help with documents and communication if agreed. East Karavan remains responsible for its own agreed work.
What if there is a problem with the supplier’s goods?
Claims about the goods are handled with the supplier under the purchase agreement. We can document issues and follow up within the agreed work. Extra inspections, sample rounds or extended support need your approval of the work and price.
When do I pay, and can I stop?
Your quote explains when payments are due and the cancellation terms before you accept it. Each new stage needs your approval; completing research does not commit you to samples or an order.
